Clearly, I’m on a Loreal kick at the moment (I recently reviewed the Telescopic Lift mascara), but so many of their recent launches have gone viral, and I’m a sucker for anything that’s hyped up.
The Loreal True Match Plumping Tinted Serum has make-up influencers in a chokehold, everyone has been banging on about it for weeks, and as usual, curiosity got the better of me and I picked one up two odd weeks ago.

There were a few things that drew me to it:
– It’s the first tinted serum with 1% hyaluronic acid, and we love a little bit of extra hydration.
– It’s more of a light to medium coverage.
– It gives a “your skin but better” look.
My Thoughts on the Loreal True Match Plumping Tinted Serum
With spring around the corner (finally!), It’s time to start gravitating towards more lightweight, dewy foundations and I am so ready! After using the Loreal Plumping Tinted Serum for a decent amount of time, I have some thoughts:
– It’s a lot more liquid than a traditional foundation. This isn’t a bad thing by any means, just be aware of it when you apply some to your face, it runs a lot faster than I was used to.
– This is not a full coverage foundation. I mean, the name should tell you that, but this really is a “your skin but better” light to medium coverage. You can still see some imperfections through the product, but it does a really good job of evening out the color and even hiding some redness.
– If you love the dewy look, this is for you. Oily skin girls, you might battle a bit if you’re a die-hard matte foundation fan, but if you love that hydrated, fresh skin look, you’ll love this. It does dry down slightly more matte than when you initially apply it, but I wouldn’t classify it as matte coverage.
– Got spots where you need a bit more coverage (my cheeks for me), I have found that the Plumping Tinted Serum is fairly buildable which is great!
– In terms of application, your fingers actually work best if you want the max coverage it can give. Using a sponge or brush does give you slightly less coverage, simply because they absorb the product more because of how liquid it is.
All in all, I’m a big fan of the Loreal True Match Plumping Tinted Serum! I love the skincare element that it has and the fact that it isn’t as heavy as a traditional foundation; it really is the perfect makeup option for the warmer months.
