I’m very late to the party, but I’ve placed a few orders with SHEIN recently and I thought I’d share what I ordered and my review of them.
It’s nothing massive, I’m not about to do a haul of boxes and boxes, but I definitely rate some of the things that I’ve ordered.
SHEIN Customs Fee and delivery
Look, I can scroll on that app forever, my wishlist is at least 8294849393 items long. Most of us can do that, but I’m sure many people like me were a bit hesitant about all the ins and outs when it comes to customs fees, delivery, etc.
Generally, SHEIN shipping is free which is fab. I would think that if you decided to purchase a very large item like a chair or something similar, this might not be the case, but I could be wrong here.
It’s really easy to keep track of your order on the Shein app and it’s pretty detailed which I felt reassuring.
Customs Fee
Once my parcel was in the country, Buffalo couriers got hold of me to sort out customs, this was the one thing I was very nervous about because you just never know.
In the last few times that I have ordered, my customs fees have been 10% of my total SHEIN order.
Delivery
After paying the customs fee, things moved really swiftly, I’d say on average parcels are delivered within 10 days or so which I think is excellent!
I did have a situation the first time that the courier couldn’t find our house but I managed to sort that out and all my goods were delivered.
All in all, the ordering and delivery process has been super easy to navigate and without issues.
What I’ve ordered
Let’s get into the good stuff, what I ordered from SHEIN, and what I thought of it. I will say I’m a bit nervous about the clothing just because of sizes etc, but I’ve found some really great pieces in terms of presents, home décor, etc.
Kids
I ordered these two dresses for Maia as part of her birthday present and I was SO impressed at the quality, especially the Anna dress.
I sized up so that both the girls could wear it (so bought a 6yrs) and I’m glad I did, we’ll get extra years of wear from it.
The mermaid dress is lovely as well, it’s a bit more restrictive than the dress, but that’s just due to the style of it and the girls certainly still run around in it.
You can’t go wrong with kid’s accessories on SHEIN, I bought these two bracelet sets as part as Aria’s birthday present as well as part of the girls Easter baskets and they were such a hit.
These pens were just something small that I added in and Aria loved them, she’s big into writing at the moment so having some “fun” pens was such a treat for her.
Décor
Plastic heart plate: I grabbed this to be part of our Valentine’s Day décor, I wasn’t blown away by it (in all fairness, it is just a plastic plate) but it is cute.
Magnetic polaroid frames: I absolutely love these and am definitely going to order more. Everyone knows how much I love having my photos out and about and using these on the fridge has been such a treat. Would make great gifts, stocking fillers, teachers’ gifts, etc.
Flower fridge magnets: These were too cute to resist, and the price was perfect. They are so pretty, really great quality, and a great size too. Will prob order more of these to add to my fridge.
Accessories
I’m new to the accessories game and so I don’t want to spend a fortune on them at the moment.
I love both of these sets that I bought from SHEIN. The pearl choker layers so beautifully with my other necklaces and the bow earrings are so cute. They tarnish fairly easily but are easy to buff shiny again.
I’ve got a few things that I’m definitely adding to my next order, some more accessories for myself, stocking up on stocking fillers (yes already) for the girls, new cellphone cases, and there are one or two items of clothing I might try but I’m still in two minds about that…
