I promised this post a while ago, but don’t worry, the CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Blush collection is well worth the wait, as are all things from CHANEL, right?
At the beginning of this year I wasintroduced to some of the products that CHANEL will be launching this year. One of them we have already spoken about; the new Coco Mademoiselle Intense, and another is the Rouge Coco Lip Blush collection which I am completely obsessed with.

The Rouge Coco line from CHANEL is all about freedom, creativity and personality. The lipsticks are there for you to really express yourself, and perhaps even be a little spontaneous and play around with some colour. Before we chat about the gorgeous shades though, I want to explain to you why the Rouge Coco Lip Blush collection is so special and why I don’t think any make up collection is complete without them.
For me, the stand out feature of these products is the texture. On application it feels incredibly light and fluffy, almost like you aren’t wearing any product at all. And even though they dry down, they never feel dry on my lips. When applied to the cheeks, the silky smooth consistency dries down to a powdery velvet texture that gives the most beautiful and natural flush, perfect for someone like me who isn’t an avid blush-wearer.

In terms of the make up of the Rouge Coco Lips Blush products, CHANEL did not disappoint; the signature Hydraboost complex delivers the gloriously light but non-drying texture while vegetable oils help to moisturise and nourish the lips and skin where it is applied, as well as trace peptides to add a plumping effect.
The application of these products is an aboslute dream. The doe foot applicator is the perfect size and the product literally glides on. Once I have applied product to my lips, I pat them down a little bit; I find that this gives a really natural but pretty finish, and it still lasts forever! I was a bit apprehensive about using the Rouge Coco Lip Blush on my cheeks, but there was no need to be. I dot two or three dots of product onto the apples of my cheeks and then pat it in with my finger tips. It does dry down fairly quickly so do one at a time.
Right, onto the shade range! They really are all so gorgeous and wearable. I have Burning Berry and Teasing Pink, but I am defineitely keen to try Corall Naturel.

418 Rouge Captivant: the ultimate red
420 Burning Berry: a chocolate purple
416 Teasing Pink: an intense pink touched with fuchsia
414 Tender Rose: a universal rosy nude
412 Orange Explosif: a radiant and vibrant orange
410 Corail Naturel: a peachy pink
Of course, no new launch is complete without one of CHANEL’s incredible short films. This one for the Rouge Coco Lip Blush collection stars Lily-Rose Depp and it is just incredible.
The Rouge Coco Lip Blush collection is available immediately and retails for R650 a piece.
Oh wow these are beautiful!
