New make up from CHANEL always makes me excited, there’s never something in the new collections that I don’t fall in love with. The most recent drops are no different and there are quite a few of them to go through, so no waffling today, let’s get straight into the beautiful new make up from CHANEL because there is a lot to get through!
Eyes
Lucia Pica, CHANEL’s Global Creative Make Up and Colour Designer was inspired by the magic of the night skies and the feeling of freedom that it stirs up, for the 2018 Eyes Collection, think inky navy blues, deep mossy greens and sparkly champagnes. There are six new eye make up products from CHANEL and they are each as gorgeous as the next.
Le Volume De CHANEL: when the information about this first of it’s kind mascara from CHANEL landed in my inbox, I was so intrigued. It is the first 3D printed mascara in the world, there are only 6 machines that produce this mascara and they turn out 1 million products a month. The short and stubby bristles look very underwhelming at first but don’t let that fool you, they work like a bomb! Le Volume De CHANEL gives me lashes for days with incredible volume and just a little bit of chunkiness; exactly how I like my mascara to work.
Stylo Ombre Et Contour: if you love a multi use product as much as I do, you will love the Stylo Ombre Et Contour; it can be used as a cream eyeshadow, a liner or as kohl. It has a thicker tip compared to a traditional liner which makes it perfect to give you a smudged out look on your lash line. It has a wonderfully creamy texture and applies like butter to the lid, but still has really good staying power, hooray!
Les 4 Ombres: these quads of baked eyeshadow are so iconic it would be a sin not to own one! The two new Les 4 Ombres palettes are just gorgeous; Mystère et Intensité has a wonderfully deep plum shade as well as a super festive champagne that will make your inner corner corner highlight pop, Splendeur et Audace is slightly more daring with it’s sky blue and mossy green but both would look stunning as a wash of colour over the lid.
Ombre Première in Powder: although I prefer the Les 4 Ombres palettes, I can absolutely see the value of the Ombre Première singles, especially because the two new shades are so dreamy. Bleu Sélène is a gorgeous deep grey toned blue while High-Profile is a perfect nude to either wear all over the lid or to use a transition shade in the crease.
Ombre Première in Cream: this is one of my favourite make up products from CHANEL. The shades are really pigmented but can be sheered out if that’s the look you’re going for, but the best part is that they are so easy to use, especially if you’re in a rush. The Eyes Collection 2018 sees two new shades being added to this line, Vert Métal a stunning mossy green and Ultra Flesh an incredibly natural peachy flesh shade. My favourite way to use my Ombre Première in Cream is to use my fingers and blend it all over my lid, you’re able to build the colour if you’d like but either way, it always looks striking.
La Base Ombres A Paupières: this eyeshadow base is a brand new product from CHANEL and a very exciting one at that! It claims to smooth out the eyelid, creating the perfect foundation for eyeshadow, increasing it’s intensity, longevity and radiance. The product itself is in a gel formula which means that it will be lightweight on the lid.
Lips
When it came to the new lip products from CHANEL, Lucia Pica didn’t want women to have to choose between a day time and evening lipstick and at the same time, add a contemporary edge to the much loved Rouge Allure collection. The shades are to die for and range from soft pinky nudes, to vibrant reds and deep plums.
Rouge Allure Velvet Extrême: the Rouge Allure lip products are some of the best I have ever tried creamy, long lasting and vibrant colour payoff. The brand new Rouge Allure Velvet Extrême lippies are no different, except they have a matte finish. I love their second-skin feel and that they are extremely comfortable to wear as they are infused with almond oil and vitamin E extract. The matte black packaging is also absolutely stunning and will add that extra edge to any dressing table.
Rouge Allure Liquid Powder: this new generation of matte liquid lip colour was something that I was so excited to try out. I found the foam applicator quite easy to use and a little bit of product went a long way. This is by far one of the most comfortable lip products I have ever worn, it literally feels like you are wearing nothing at all, completely lightweight. What a pleasure! The colour pay off isn’t as bold as the Rouge Allure Velvet Extrême but the powdery matte effect is so perfect for everyday use that I have found myself grabbing my Liquid Powder over my good ol’ faithfuls.
Rouge Allure Velvet: to round everything off, CHANEL has come out with a limited edition black matte and gold packaging for the Rouge Allure Velvet. The product itself is still super creamy, matte and has great pigmentation.
So, what are you putting on your Christmas wish list?
These are so beautiful!
