Every girl needs time away with her tribe, and two weeks ago we did exactly that. We hopped into my car and drove the 4 hours to Brahman Hills in the Midlands to spend some time with each other and to try our best to relax a little bit. I wasn’t too sure what to expect, but Brahman Hills was exactly what we needed, and then some.
If you haven’t been on one for a while, I would suggest planning a girls weekend away pronto; we all came back home feeling a lot less stressed but also with happy hearts from spending some proper quality time together. We owe a large part of that to Brahman Hills, it is the ideal place to head with your girl gang (or anyone that you want to spend some QT with). Want to know why I think so highly of them? Keep on reading…
The spa is absolutely incredible, possibly one of the best that I have ever been to. By now you all know how fussy I am when it comes to spa treatments and it’s very seldom that I find somewhere that blows me away. The spa at Brahman Hills is just next level amazing, from the decor to the therpists and even the coffee. We were booked in for their signature 90min treatment which included a full body scrub, spa bath and 60min massage, as well as a gel pedicure. Absolute bliss! All of the rooms have double doors that open up to allow a wonderful cool breeze to flow in and every now and again you hear a cow in the background, this was particularly wonderful while relaxing in the spa bath. The exfoliation and massage treatments were sublime and for the first time in a long time, I actually relaxed. Our pedicures took place upstairs in the nail lounge which is as gorgeous as the spa treatment rooms with views over the rolling green hills. The pedicure itself was fantastic and almost two weeks later, my heels are still pretty smooth and the gel overlays still look perfect. The girls and I are still raving about our treatments, honestly one of the best spa experiences I have ever had.
The views are amazing and totally Instagrammable. Being the photo-taking-crazy gals that we are, we were spoilt for choice! We sipped our morning coffee on the patio while watching the cows and zebra graze, and could watch the sunset just a few metres from our cottage. In fact, there isn’t a spot at Brahman Hills that isn’t just beautiful! Do yourself a favour and take a stroll to the chapel, it overlooks a dam and really is something to behold.
The accommodation is top notch! There are two accommodation options at Brahman Hills, one is to stay in the hotel and the other is to make yourself at home in one of their self catering cottages. We opted for the latter and it was just perfect. The three bedroom cottage had absolutely everything that we needed including a spa bath, fireplace and jacuzzi. There was also a massive kitchen as well as a dining area where we enjoyed some delicious meals before flopping down onto one of the crazy comfortable couches to watch some telly. The rooms were absolutely divine with huge comfortable beds, plus they were all en-suite which is a massive thumbs up in my books. Oh, and just when we thought that it couldn’t get any better, there is free, unlimited WiFi, woohoo!
89 on Copper is a must for dinner one evening, our meal was so, so, so good! Located in the wine cellar, both Copper (the bar) and 89 on Copper are a completely different experience from the norm. We enjoyed the Chef’s Selection menu and we basically rolled back to our cottage. Although everything (including the wine from their extensive list) was delicious, my two favourites were the starter of zucchini and lentils (sounds basic, but it was insanely yum) and the lemon souffle dessert. All the dishes are gorgeously presented and although the food is simple, they are an absolute party for your taste buds.
There’s no way that you can get bored, there are just too many options to keep you entertained. If you want to take it easy, why not head to the spa for some R&R or sip on some bubbles in your jacuzzi? If you’re keen on some exploring, you’ve got the entire meander at your fingertips! We took a little drive to Curry’s Post and stopped of at Terbodore Coffee for some coffee tasting which was really delicious. Nottingham road is 2km away and also has some gorgeous little shops and coffee spots to discover.
Have I twisted your arm yet? Our weekend at Brahman Hills was absolutely amazing, definitely one for the memory bank. If you are keen to head to this gem in the Midlands with some of your favourite favourites, make sure to check out their Instagram page as they often have special offers.

What a gorgeous and relaxing weekend away! We have stayed there twice for weddings and it was so beautiful – never thought of it for a girls weekend but now it is a must! x
