Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas For Him

I don’t know about you, but thinking about buying a gift for Dan is enough to make me break out in hives. The man buys everything that he wants and if I have to buy him another book or Xbox game, I’m going to pull my hair out. Is it just him or are all men this difficult?!

I managed to corner him and get him to help me find some gifts that the man in your life would love to receive this Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas For Him

1. The Body Shop Cool and Calm Shaving Kit – Taking care of their furry faces has definitely become more of a priority for the modern man. This is a great kit with the basics every bearded man needs: Maca Root Shaving Cream, Maca Root Razor Relief, and a shaving brush.

2. LUSH Fresh Farmacy Calming Calamine Facial Soap – Keeping with the beard theme… Dan washes his beard with good ol’ Organics 2-in-1 and as someone obsessed with skincare, it drives me mad! This facial soap will treat the beard, leaving it soft and strokable; but also ensure that the skin underneath all that hair is cleansed properly without being stripped or damaged.

3. #MountainMan Beard Oil (R220) – The last thing to do with beards is this awesome beard oil. Dan has become a beard oil convert. This particular one has a combination of argan, grapeseed and jojoba oil to keep that manly beard as luscious as possible while also acting as an anti bacterial, anti-inflammatory and decongestant. The hints of eucalyptus, pine needles and sweet orange give it a fresh, earthy aroma.

4. Weekend bag – Look, the Country Road weekend bags are just incredible, but at R3000 odd a pop, they’re a bit pricey. This one from Cotton On looks just as good, and even though it’s not genuine leather, it will still do the job and your man will look super slick carrying it on his business trips.

5. Musgrave Limited Edition Jasmine Jagger Gin (R469) Yuppiechef – A friend’s husband once told me that the way to win a man over is to rock up at his house, wearing nothing but a trench coat, with a bucket of KFC in one hand and a case of beers in the other. Now, I’m not going to go into detail about whether that works or not, but buying him this limited edition Musgrave gin is definitely going to put you in his good books.

6. Fridge Monkey (R89) Yuppiechef – There is nothing worse than what seems like fifty beer bottles rolling around in your fridge – this is such a great tool to keep them all in place! It’s a flexible rubber mat that is designed to keep your fridge neat and tidy and the bottle rolling to a minimum. The Fridge Monkey isn’t restricted to one bottle size, it also works with wine bottles, soft drinks, and beer cans. Win!

7. Nespresso Capsules in Dharkan – I like my coffee like I like my men: strong! Dan and I love our Nespresso machine and if you also love yours, you will know that new capsules are always a welcomed gift. Our personal favourite is the Summer Original Trio consisting of Coconut flavour, Freddo Intenso, Freddo Delicato. If you don’t have a Nespresso machine yet, time to start saving, they are worth the hype!

8. H&M Lingerie – Okay, these will be living in your underwear drawer but let’s be honest, they really are for him. H&M has some super sexy pieces in store that are guaranteed to make his night.

I hope that you found this post helpful and that it left you with one or two ideas for Valentine’s Day gifts for your man!

Have a great week everyone!
