If you watch my vlogs, then you will know that Aria goes to swimming lessons once a week – an activity that she absolutely loves! She also often swims at home during the week and so we have a bunch of different swimming nappies, the newest arrival is from BiddyKins and spoiler alert, it’s a winner!
BiddyKins is a South African company that supplies cloth nappies, swimming nappies, nursing covers, silicone bibs and a whole range of other goodies for moms. In fact, moms love BiddyKins so much that they voted BiddyKins the winner of not one, but two Mama Magic awards recently: Baby Essentials as well as Parents’ Choice. Because of this, I was pretty keen to try them out and was thrilled when they sent one over.
If you’re like me and you like lots of different patterns and colours in your kiddies wardrobe, you will be happy to know that BiddyKins has a wide variety of different designs that you can choose from. I decided on this paisley type print in the end but let me tell you, choosing was no easy feat!
One of the many reasons that I love this swim nappy is that you can use it from teeny tiny all the way up to about 18 months thanks to the different rows of poppers that adjust the size of the nappy as you need to. All you have to do is adjust them to fit the size of your baba at the time. We all know that kids grow like weeds and so this is a really great feature so that you don’t have to shell out every few months for a new swimming nappy.
The seams around the legs and waist are made from a soft fabric and so they are gentle on Aria’s skin, never leaving horrible red marks which I am grateful for. I also really like that by unpopping some of the front poppers, I can make the swim nappy more high waisted which makes it fit better under Aria’s swimming costume and look less bulky.
Aria wears her BiddyKins on it’s own when she swims at home but when she goes to her swimming lesson we pop her cossie over it and it works wonderfully . We’ve never had a leakage problem and we just chuck it into the washing machine after it’s been used. Simple as that. It dries super quickly and so if Aria has a swim a bit later on in the day, her swimming nappy will be as dry as a bone and ready to be used.
If you’re in the market for a new swimming nappy, BiddyKins is definitely a brand to consider.
I love your blog!!! You make parenting easier
I dont have twitter but fingers crossed for this as we take my daughter to swimming lessons each week and this would make a massive difference
