I remember the first Easter Dan and I spent together – he couldn’t believe the amount of eggs and chocolates and decor and, and, and that I bought. I think he may have been a little worried about my sanity! That’s just what I’m like though: if there’s a holiday, there will be presents and a decorated home. I love it and that’s why I thought I would share just a few little goodies that I’m loving for Easter this year.
Of course, Woolies has done it again. I am always guaranteed to purchase a good few items from them. There is always such a large variety and such cute goodies on display! Everyone needs a Lindt bunny (R49.95) at Easter, personally I prefer dark chocolate and this one is perfect. I also love this beautiful jar filled with candy coated eggs (R119.95). To be honest, I want it more for the ceramic cottontail bunny lid than anything else but hey, who cares! Still on the subject of chocolate – no Easter would be complete without marshmallow eggs (R9.95 for 4) or white hens eggs (R14.95 for a box of 6). Easter breakfast would not be Easter breakfast without hot cross buns. My favourite are the traditional ones (R19.95 for 6) but Woolies have brought out some interesting flavours this year including apricot and white chocolate and pear and caramel – yummy!
So this isn’t technically an Easter egg but it’s still an egg! Like most of you I’m sure, I hate cleaning my make up brushes – it’s so much effort and I have so many brushes! Enter the Brush Egg (R100) available from Senses Beauty Salon. This is a revolutionary way of cleaning your brushes – it saves you some time and I think that it would also give a more in depth cleanse, getting rid of all the nasty bacteria you definitely don’t want near your skin! If you want a more detailed review, head over to Lipgloss Kisses, Chicara has done a great write up!
What’s Easter without a little decor? These Peter Rabbit cups (R60 for 12) from In Good Company are perfect for an Easter picnic and it means less dishes to wash – whoopee! Don’t you think that this white ceramic bunny (R129.99) from Mr Price Home will add that extra special touch to your Easter lunch or breakfast? When I was younger, we would always decorate boiled eggs with food colouring on Easter Sunday morning before devouring them. These Le Creuset egg cups (R90 each) from Yuppiechef are awesome and would add such a great pop of colour to the table.
I hope that this has made your Easter shopping a little bit easier and a lot more fun! What are your plans for the long weekend (otherwise known as the light at the end of the tunnel to some)? Why not comment below – I love reading your thoughts and treasure each one. We are heading down to Cape Town and I literally cannot wait to see the beautiful mountain and my lovely friends and family. There will definitely be a post or two about our trip and obviously I will be buying basically everything in Lush and will have to do a post to show off that haul!
