Treating stretch marks with Skin Renewal

Well I’m three treatments in and I am sure you are dying to see how my stretch marks are looking…

If you missed my first post where I explained each treatment I’m be having, you can give it a read over here.

Week 3

After six weeks (my treatments are every two weeks), I can definitely see a difference: not only are the stretch marks starting to fade, they are shrinking as well – woohoo! The little dots that you see on my most recent image is from the needle used during Carboxy Therapy. This is completely normal and mine generally fade within 5 days or so.

Although the treatments have remained the same, I will admit that the Carboxy Therapy gets steadily more painful with each session. Carien (my therapist) explained that the reason for this is because my skin is trying to heal itself. I have a really high pain threshold but I will probably take a painkiller half an hour before my next session. Although it’s getting painful, it’s only for fifteen minutes and the results make it so worth the while.

I filmed my treatments from last week and thought I would post the video so that you can see exactly what you can expect should you decide to do a course of these treatments. Don’t forget to watch it in 1080p so that its high definition!

    Hi there

Does this treatment work on stretch marks that have already turned white. Ie does it help indentations on the skin from stretch marks ?

Hello Doranell! Stretch marks are a lot more difficult to treat after they have turned white. My best advice would be for you to pop into your nearest Skin & Body Renewal and ask for a consult, they would be able to give you a definite yes or no. Good luck!
