Skinceuticals Products on high rotation

I haven’t done a skincare post for so long, but I feel like this post on my favourite Skinceuticals products is the perfect way to redeem myself. I’ve been using quite a few of their products for a few weeks now and have managed to whittle down my favourites to share with you.

Skinceuticals is definitely a more high end brand but I have found that the products I have used are so incredibly effective and advanced, making the brand a worthwhile investment, in my opinion. I’ve spoken about the Phyto Corrective Mask before and still maintain that it is one of the best post laser/dermapen/carboxytherapy treatments around. Today I want to chat about three more favourite Skinceuticals products that have wormed their way into my heart:

Simply Clean (R690 for 250ml): It’s not often that I fall in love with a cleanser, often they are very much same ‘ol, same ‘ol but I can’t see myself using a different cleanser for a long time now that I’ve used this one. What drew me to the Skinceuticals Simply Clean in the first place is the fact that it has a hydroxy acid blend that gently exfoliates every time that you cleanse, bonus! However, if you have sensitive skin like I sometimes do, I haven’t experienced any tingling or burning. To make things even better for us sensitive souls, the addition of both chamomile and botanicals help to calm and soothe the skin. The only drawback to this cleanser is that if I use it to remove my eye make-up, it stings, but that really isn’t the end of the world to me as it is perfect in every other way. This cleanser is perfect for those with oily or combo skin, and even though I have slightly dehydrated skin at the moment, it still works like a bomb.

Daily Moisture (R1315 for 60ml): A good moisturiser can be life changing, and this one from Skinceuticals is definitely a goodie. Like the Simply Clean, this moisturiser has more than one function; pore minimising as well as hydrating. Initially I was skeptical of the “pore minimising” promise but honestly, I can see an improvement around my nose, it’s not a huge difference, but it’s definitely there. Already this moisturiser from Skinceuticals was a winner in my books but the fact that it is so light weight just sealed the deal for me, it’s a perfect day time moisturiser for me.

H.A. Intensifier (R1550 for 30ml): This is Skinceuticals latest offering and it’s pretty spectacular, basically this serum is like hyaluronic acid on steroids. Over and above its super high concentration of hyaluronic acid, it also contains Proxylane™ which helps to maintain the HA levels in your skin and improves your skin’s firmness, ain’t nothing wrong with that! The HA levels receive even more support from licorice root and purple rice extracts, all resulting in the skin looking smoother, plumper and happier. I use this every single morning under my Daily Moisture and honestly, if I don’t use it for a day or two, I can see the noticeable change in my skin. It’s pricey, but a super worthwhile investment in your skin.

I’ve still got one or two more Skinceuticals products that I want to try so there will definitely be a follow up to this post in the new year!

PS: which one of these products are you going to treat yourself to? They’re all available from Dermastore as well as Skin Renewal.
