A few weeks ago I gave a quick run down of the two new Juliette Armand products that I was busy testing. I have been using them for a good 6 weeks now and am ready to give you my honest thoughts.
* hint: there may or may not be a giveaway at the end of this post…
Let’s start with the moisturiser shall we? The DNA Repair 24H Cream (RRP R710 for 50ml) has taken the place of both my day and night cream. I’ve quite enjoyed simplifying my skincare routine to just include a few staples so this moisturiser has slotted right in. It is light-to-medium weight and my skin absorbs it really quickly which means two things: one, my skin is ridiculously thirsty and two, there isn’t any tackiness. I have a really dehydrated skin and so by the time I do my night time routine I definitely feel like I need to reapply moisuriser, but that’s a good 10 hours of wear which is great in my books. Because it sinks in so wonderfully and is pretty darn hydrating, my make up applies really well over it, even my matte foundations which can look a bit patchy and cling to my dry patches if my skin isn’t properly hydrated and prepared.
My favourite of the two products that I was sent is the DNA Repair Serum (RRP R645 for 20ml). I can feel a huge difference in the texture of my skin, especially on my chin. I struggle with quite a few rough patches and those have definitely decreased. I do still have some underlying congestion but I do feel like it is slightly less on my upper cheeks and temples which I am sure is thanks to this serum increasing my skin turnover. It is water-like in consistency and the glass dropper helps for easy application. I dispense about 6 drops into my hand and press it into my skin before applying my moisturiser. I would say this is a great serum for someone who wants to refine their skin texture but also help protect and repair their skin against free radical damage.
These products sound pretty fab, don’t they?
