Sherbet Angel Boutique Salon

I’m really fussy about where I go for my treatments, and I often don’t return because I always find something wrong. Yes, I’m THAT client!

I had popped into Sherbet Angel once and loved the look of it and Lisa, the owner was so friendly that I thought, “why not?” and booked a pedicure for the following Saturday.

Sherbet Angel is situated in the very trendy suburb of Parkhurst in Johannesburg. The street is always buzzing and has the most divine restaurants and boutique shops.

My appointment was for 9am and even though I was 3 minutes late (damn you Jozi traffic!), Sabrina, my therapist was so accommodating and friendly. She took me to my “throne” where I would be having my pedicure. Sherbet Angels décor is slightly offbeat and eclectic yet they still manage to make you feel completely relaxed. The pedicure lounge is really amazing – the chairs are large and comfortable, with enough room between clients so that you don’t feel like sardines in a can.

One of my pet peeves with therapists when having a treatment in a pedicure lounge is that they basically ignore you, the client and chat happily to one another. Having my pedicure at Sherbet Angel was the first time, yes, the FIRST time that my therapist concentrated on me ensuring that I receive the best treatment. I was so happy!

They use Spalicious for their pedicures and their nailpolish brands are Toy and Morgan Taylor. I had never had a Spalicious pedicure before so I was very keen to try it out. The scrub is lovely: granular enough to exfoliate the foot properly but gentle enough to not scratch the skin. The massage cream was also great and smelt incredible! I chose a midnight blue Morgan Taylor polish (I have forgotten the name, ooops) and Sabrina painted it perfectly.

Besides nails, Sherbet Angel also offers facials, massage, slimming treatments and pregnancy packages – basically something for everyone. On their retail shelves you will find Six, IS Clinical, Mama Mio and Thalgo.

The rooms are inviting and relaxing but still carry the quirky, boho chic look. What really impressed me the most were the therapists. They are friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I would absolutely trust them with doing my facial and that is not something that I say lightly!

If you live in Johannesburg, do yourself a favour and make an appointment at Sherbet Angel – Lisa and her team really go that extra step to make sure that you leave having had the best treatment and care possible.

Wow, their décor truly is stunning, love it. Great review, makes me feel like I should drive through from Pretoria to go for a pedi there!
