Lamelle Nourish products

Well, it’s been a while, but I have tested out the Nourish products from Lamelle and I can finally give you my thoughts on them. Make sure to read all the way to the end of this post, there is something exciting riiiiiiight at the bottom!

If you missed the first part of my Lamelle Nourish journey, give it a read, you will gain some background knowledge on what the range is all about and what it can do for your skin. Onto the good stuff now though – what I thought of each of the products that I was sent.

Daily Cleanse: Now, I know that for my skin type I should be using a milk or cream cleanser but to be honest, I love gel cleansers too much to give them up entirely and so I take my chances every now and then, hoping that my skin won’t get stripped by whatever brand I happen to pick up. Good news, this soap free cleanser was a winner! It took all of my make up off (including my 4 layers of mascara) no problem and still gave me, what I felt was a good deep cleanse. Yes, my skin was slightly tight afterwards, but not to a degree that I wouldn’t use this cleanser again and again.

Revitalise Cream & Revitalise Lite: I used these as my day and night creams for the simple fact that one (Revitalise Cream) is richer than the other and I don’t like feeling too weighed down by product during the day. I have to say that my dehydrated skin really enjoyed these two moisturisers! Revitalise Cream is great for night time as it delivers that extra punch of ingredients that will get to work while your skin is regenerating overnight. I am also happy to report that it didn’t feel oily on my skin. In the morning I used the Revitalise Lite and even though it isn’t as potent, my skin felt super hydrated all day long. My make up also applied brilliantly over it.

Revitalise Eye: I have a little bit of an obsession with my under eye area and I am constantly applying some form of lotion or potion to it to somehow magically preserve my youth. Although this product it cream based, it wasn’t as thick and as rich as I was scared it would be which is great, especially if you, like me are prone to milia. After about two weeks I found that my under eye area was less dehydrated , was showing fewer dehydration lines and even the skin’s texture had improved. I like to use this at night with my Revitalise Cream.

Multi Active Sun SPF 30: Ok, I’m going to be honest, I hate applying sunscreen. Most of the time they don’t smell great, they are thick, and I feel like I am sweating them off half way through the day. Anyway, I received this batch of products right before we headed off to Kruger for the weekend and so I thought that this would be the ideal time to test the SPF out since we would be outside most of the day. First off, the smell isn’t offensive at all which is amazing as some SPF’s have a horrific scent. Secondly, it isn’t thick and gloopy – I didn’t feel like I had a thick layer of product sitting on top of my moisturiser. And lastly, my make up still applied perfectly – it didn’t cause my BB cream or foundation to “crumble” (you know, when it makes little frimmeltjies). A sure fire winner for this hot as hell summer we are already experiencing!Save
