I am using Ponds exfoliator at the moment but I’ve noticed little pimples forming on my forehead 🙁 not sure it the two are related though Reply mascaraandmimosas June 8, 2015 at 6:58 pm Hi Nihaad, thanks for the lovely comment! Typically breakouts on the forehead can be from stress or diet (especially between the brows). If you’ve only been using the exfoliator for a week or so, give it another 3 weeks to see if your skin settles – if not, your skin might not agree with one of the ingredients in that particular exfoliator. Hope this answers your question? I will be covering a whole lot more info in an upcoming post so look out for that! It makes it feel like a business deal we’re about to close, and cannot afford to lose it. More often than not, we would then clash and be irritated with one another, because we’re both anxious for the actual offspring. And then it’s over, gone, goodbye lovemaking and hello guilt and regret. Month after month.. If you can keep D-Day business in a good state without aforementioned happening to you guys, you are truly blessed 🙂 Someone once told me: Keep in mind, you actually still want to love your husband after you’ve used him for children (and the other way around too). Ouchies, very harsh, I know. But it’s taught me to still enjoy him and not just use him like I did. And now we’re having more fun than ever, wink wink 😉 Enjoy the ride (pun intended indeed) Reply Celeste August 7, 2015 at 7:25 pm This was great. I am just as fair as you. I’m heading over to Kiehls this weekend to get the Overnight Recovery Serum to see if it’ll sort out the acne scaring I have, but I wanted another serum to use in between (you know one day Kiehls the next day another dude) and I think I need this Africology one. My skin isn’t breaking out as badly as it was but my jawline seems to be plagued by a constant breakout! So I may just have to add this to my skincare arsenal as I’m looking more like 15 than 26! Great post cookie, super informative and makes me want to spend my money 😉 Reply mascara & mimosas August 14, 2015 at 9:15 am The Africology serum has definitely helped with the breakouts on my jawline – you will love it! I actually have some Tan Lab goodies in my self-tan basket (yes, basket – I tend to hoard self-tanners; it’s one of my favourite types of product, but I’m SO lazy when it comes to applying them!), and this post provided the ease-of-mind to actually give it a go! I bought one of the LA Girl Matte Lipsticks just out of pure curiosity. I’m in two minds about it to be honest. On one hand the staying power is brilliant – that stuff can withstand anything! But then on the other hand it’s not very comfortable to wear, it feels quite sticky in the corners of my lips and feels a bit heavy as well. Nihaad – the little blog of STUFF Reply Marné September 11, 2015 at 11:45 am Great mix of favourites, loved it. Where do you find your recipes / inspiration for your green smoothies? There’s so many contradicting info out there on smoothies, and if one follows their own head and just add fruit and cereal then the weight-issue kicks in 🙂 Juicing vs blending vs processing, any advice?! To juice you can use any of those appliances, but do you know if the results are the same? Lol, thanks xx Reply mascara & mimosas September 16, 2015 at 9:54 am Hi Marne, I kind of make my recipes up to be honest, or if I have a really good green juice while I’m out I take a sneaky picture of what the ingredients are so I can recreate it at home. I don’t add any cereal or yogurt and only one fruit, usually a small apple or half an orange because of the sugar issue. I only have a very old school juicer, but it works really well! I have used a friends Nutribullet and its amazing and I think a lot more versatile. I’m definitely not a juicing queen, I just kind of go with the flow to be honest, hope I could at least answer some of your questions! x Reply Nihaad October 7, 2015 at 4:12 pm Wow this is such great news, congratulations you guys!!! So many amazing tips… seriously wish we’d planned properly and set up a savings account BEFORE we fell pregnant. We only started one once I’d found out I was pregnant… Also, you HAVE to make a plan to come to CT soon – H&M has the most gorgeous baby clothes, and they are SO reasonable! I am a huge Cotton On Kids fan, so was super-chuffed to find equally adorable baby and kiddie’s clothing at H&M, for WAY cheaper. I bought Noah a T-shirt for R59 the other day! They also have adorable kiddies linen and room decor… not a huge selection, but definitely more for girls than boys, so you’re in luck! One of my best finds on Gumtree was an awesome swing – you know the ones that rock, sing and have flashing lights? This one was barely used, it was brand spankin new, had all the features including the ability to plug in your own USB with music and cost R2000 in store – I paid R500. Turns out the family were really wealthy and didn’t care for the money but just wanted it out, as it was space consuming and their baby hated it. I am so excited to follow your pregnancy, admittedly making me broody for days. This is a really great post! Budgeting is such a big part of what makes it, just a little bit easier. Mr.Price ALWAYS has such amazing decorations all year round Reply Chereen December 2, 2015 at 11:50 am LOVE this post! We put our tree up on the 25th of November, but Beanie’s knocked it over three times already! He knocked it over again last night, and after decorating and redecorating (and redecorating for a third time!), I’ve given up and just left the tree bare… after seeing this post I’m rather tempted to head off to Woolies to buy those silver baubles (we’ve always done gold and red) and change my colour theme. Oh, the joys of having a toddler in the house… hehe! x Reply Nicole Jansen Jansen van Vuuren December 4, 2015 at 10:52 am Lamelle is a great South African range, I’m sure the winner of this range will thoroughly enjoy it! I’m pretty good with my skincare routine and already follow most of these, but I think I need to add numbers 6, 7 and 9 to my list of skincare resolutions for this year – I am so, so bad when it comes to applying eyecream; it’s the one product I skip almost daily. Eek! Going to apply some this very minute… Would also love to get into the habit of going for a monthly facial, but the budget often comes into play… maybe you could do a post on how to do an effective at-home facial sometime? Would LOVE to read that! Reply Chereen January 10, 2016 at 3:57 am Ah, this totally just reminded me of my little love affair with Konjac sponges last year! I’ve totally forgotten about them somewhere along the line, but think I’m going to stock up on another one asap! Absolutely loved using mine and noticed such a huge improvement to my skin… I’ve since discovered Smittens, and am obsessed with mine at the moment. Have you heard of them? I hope you’re ready for the huge influx of texts full of questions coming your way once baby is born 😉 x Reply Charlene Steyn March 1, 2016 at 10:36 am I have been using the exact same range for a year now. At first I was also struggling with the product but persisted. My mother is also using the same range and we have totally different skin types which confuses me. How are we even the same range with a dry skin compared to a oily/ combination skin ? Besides that this product really kicks into gear after a month. Being prone to break outs my skin has never been as smooth as with this product. I think the problem is people want immediate improvements but I say stick it out. Its worth it in the long haul. Thanks so much for an honest review! Reply mascara & mimosas March 1, 2016 at 5:24 pm Hi Charlene, thanks so much for reading and taking time to comment! I completely agree, often people don’t realise that if they just stuck it out a little longer, they would see incredible results. My issue wasn’t so much that I didn’t see results (although I do feel that I should have seen a bit more of a difference in 3 weeks), it was more that I didn’t enjoy using the product itself. I have used other Nimue products before (quite a while back though) and they were great! I am so glad that the products are working for you – there is nothing better than your skin being in tip top shape. x Reply Marné March 1, 2016 at 5:09 pm Great review Sarah, I love that you’re so honest about it 🙂 Just goes to show how important it is to NOT self-medicate when it comes to skincare. I’ve been there and am still struggling with some of the consequences and aftermath of uneducated decisions I made. Best to consult with a skincare professional (like yourself) every once in a while, even if it’s just two or three times a year at least, we know it can get expensive. Just to know you’re still on track with what you’re using on your face xx PS, I have the exfoliating enzyme you mentioned above, and I love it, it works for me. But only if I activate it with heat after a few minutes, otherwise it doesn’t do much Reply mascara & mimosas March 1, 2016 at 5:27 pm Thanks Marne, I’m so glad you enjoyed this post – it’s always so difficult to write an honest review when it’s not all positive. I am such a huge believer in getting your skin professionally analysed, like you said, if you don’t, it can cause absolute chaos! Always best to go see someone who knows what’s what when it comes to skin. I’m going to keep going with the Exfoliating Enzyme, maybe I will fall in love with it after all – thanks for the tip! x Reply Marné March 1, 2016 at 5:56 pm I’m not even pregnant yet and I loooooooooved this post 😀 😀 I come from a background where it’s almost frowned upon to have a midwife instead of a gynae. We’ve been trying for kids and this is obviously something I’ve thought about a lot, because I love the idea of a midwife and have looked up and researched a few in the Jhb region. Do you perhaps have advice on such a decision, except for “it’s a personal choice”, lol. Maybe do a post on it if you want to, I’m sure the question gets asked a lot 🙂 Reply Natalie March 8, 2016 at 8:15 am OMG I loved this, brilliantly written Dan!! I didn’t expect confused, crazy skin during pregnancy (no one ever talks about that part of being pregnant…) It seems to be calming down now – thank goodness!!! I’ve never seen this brand before. Reply Spruce Lifestyle March 18, 2016 at 5:14 pm Always SO interesting to read a completely honest review, even if it is a product I am completely addicted to! The thing is about Nimue it does take a while to really make a difference – for me, it is quite honestly the best product system I have used on my skin and keep coming back to even after 6 years! That said, I have mixed and matched the products across the range (Conditioner Lite FTW) to find what really works for my skin depending on the season. Sad thing is the exfoliating enzyme make-up has been changed: it used to be so much better! Reply Celeste March 23, 2016 at 11:34 am Lovely video. I will definitely squeeze a labour story in somewhere in the next few weeks, keep your eyes peeled… Reply Corlia Pienaar April 18, 2016 at 1:58 pm Hi there, oh wow, thank you for this post. Enjoyed the video and all the info. My baby is due in 8 weeks. I also feel quite “prepared” but your total honesty put a lot of things in perspective. I am quite nervous about breastfeeding but luckily have both those products already so I will follow your advice there 🙂 You mentioned that Aria has been sleeping in her own room since day one at home? Everyone keeps telling me that baby needs to be in our room for at least 3 months!?!? I don’t really want that though. Is she coping? You have a monitor so that helps but she isn’t freeking out or anything? By the way, you look well and kind of rested 😉 so the routine thing is working 🙂 I am definitely also doing that. Yay, I feel educated 🙂 and a bit less stressed. Reply mascara & mimosas April 18, 2016 at 4:44 pm Hi Corlia – congrats on your pregnancy, almost time for you to meet your little one! Most people told us to keep Aria in our room for the first little while as well, we just decided to bite the bullet early on and put her in her own room. I think if we did it later on, I would have been more of an emotional/paranoid wreck. We use the monitor even though she is right next door to us and she sleeps like an angel, other than the times she wakes up for a feed of course. It really is a personal choice though. In terms of breastfeeding, the Medela website is a wealth of information and if you need help, give them a call and they can recommend a lactation consultant that can come and see you either when you’re home or while you’re still in the hospital. In saying that though, I found the nurses at the hospital I was at extremely helpful. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video and post and that it made you feel a little bit less stressed. Good luck for the next 8 weeks, I will be thinking of you! x Reply Michelle Stevens April 18, 2016 at 10:32 pm Congrats! Awesome video. Brought back so many memories from when my LO was born a year ago. It goes so quickly so enjoy all those precious moments. Reply Kim April 19, 2016 at 11:28 am Hie Thanks so much for the video. I have a 7month old baby girl. Such a bubbly sweet angel, not crawling yet, which is worrying me but hey, babies are different. I breastfed exclusively for the first five months, wanted to wait until she was six months to give her solids but she was so ready and I decided to jump in early to give her solids. She is still on puréed foods up to now and she is quite choosy. But she is healthy. And about sleeping, we share a bed with her. I seriously can’t sleep if she ain’t with me. I would freak out. It’s a choice we have made to co-sleep with her. She wakes twice or thrice to feed for about 10minutes and she dozes off to sleep instantly afterwards. And to Aisha O, about C-section, mmmmm, I had one. Am a first time Mom by the way. My gnaecologist was an angel. The whole surgery took about more or less 15minutes. The healing part was quite a challenge because I was breastfeeding and the sitting position was quite a nightmare but I had a great support system and all was manageable. I really wanted a Medela pump but unfortunately medical aid didn’t cover so now I have a manual and I pump about 250ml for the next day feed. She prefers her milk directly from Mommy though. Wish you both well , Aisha and Mascara , on your journey. I am a bit ahead and all of it is still instincts. Listen to your gut and that inner voice. Again, thanks for the video. Reply The Secret Board April 19, 2016 at 1:18 pm This is such an awesome video. Actually made me tear up a little. When you said about crying because Dan did the dishes I thought about my sister-in-law that literally bawled her eyes out every time her husband said grace at dinner for the first two weeks. Hormones are terrible! Glad you are doing well xx Reply Chicara - Lipgloss Kisses April 19, 2016 at 4:27 pm Those Insta-fix concealer(?) things look so interesting. Medela is a fabulous brand and I loved their breastpumps and breastpads when I had my kids. Just talking about those sore cracked nipples…I swear I almost punched my baby in the face once as a reflex as I couldn’t understand why all the pain when she latched! lol. I laugh now, but oh my word, the memories of it…all 3 times…*shivers* I’d love to win this for my sister…she’s having her first baby later this year. Fingers crossed. xxx Reply Terri Rosslind April 25, 2016 at 11:32 am OMG! I’ve always wanted this breast pump! Never knew it came with so many accessories! lol Fingers are crossed tight for this one 🙂 Reply Simone Cameron April 25, 2016 at 11:34 am The insta-fix sounds very interesting! I’m definitely going to give it a try. The ‘roll on the skin’ type make up items is always a concern, but I wonder if I’m not rubbing the top layer off, so what’s just been on my skin isn’t still on the stick, if that makes sense. lol. Well it’s what I tell myself. Reply Sam Braithwaite April 25, 2016 at 11:37 am Would love to win this hamper! Little did I know that there is such convenience with having the Madela Quick Clean Microwave Bag. To top it off you do mention that it does not take up much space at all. Now that is convenience for a mum like me who is always on the go. Such a perfect pack of all the necessities mentioned above. Life as a new mum pretty much feels exhausting especially to breastfeed but Madela aids a new mom with just about everything to simplify breastfeeding. A happy mum makes a happy baby Reply rehana seedat April 27, 2016 at 1:50 am would love to win this for my nephew Reply Tanya April 28, 2016 at 8:13 am Expecting a baby… Would love to win this! Reply Lisa April 28, 2016 at 9:57 am what a brilliant give away – I bought a pump for my first LO and plan on using it again with my second one which is on the way. I didn’t even know they sold some of these products and they will just make life even more easier (with a 2 year old and a newborn I need anything that will make it easier). May you be blessed. Medela is probably the most lifesaving brand out there for moms. If it weren’t for the breast pump (single swing) & Purelan, I would probably not have been able to go through with breasfeeding in the end. Enjoy your lovely little baba. xxx Reply mascara & mimosas May 12, 2016 at 3:29 pm Thanks so much Yolandi! And yes, Purelan is the bee’s knees – it saved my life (and my nipples, haha!). We had to start formula feeding when Lea-Mari was only 2 weeks old as she wasn’t putting on ANY weight 🙁 my heart broke! I felt so ashamed. My poor baby. I still breastfeed and give formula twice a day and she seems perfectly fine. I wasn’t prepared for the emotional roller coaster motherhood would bring. Thanks for the share. It’s nice to know I’m not alone Reply mascara & mimosas July 26, 2016 at 8:23 pm So glad you enjoyed the post Corlia! I’m sure you are being the best mommy to Lea-Mari and despite regardless or whether she’s having formula or breastmilk x Reply Simone July 25, 2016 at 11:37 am So many of us suffer with these feelings of guilt and inadequacy…and it really puts such a dark cloud over that early experience as a mom. I had the same as Corlia…my child was not birth weight by 2 weeks, screaming when the boob approached, miserable. My brother eventually went out and bought a tin of formula and made that poisonous first bottle. I sobbed and sobbed. My daughter….she’s alive and well…7yrs old today. 2nd born….I breastfed like a pro for 7 months. 3rd born, repeat of number 1, hated the boob. I couldn’t be bothered and welcomed the bottle so now anybody could feed him and give me my hands free time. Thankfully I also wasn’t emotionally invested, but there are some moms that let the guilt linger for way too long. Great post! Well done on doing what’s right for you and your daughter 🙂 Reply mascara & mimosas July 26, 2016 at 8:24 pm Thanks so much Simone! It was thers but the amount available wasnot enough to sustain him. Just like you I was anti formula and swore not to give it to my baby ever but I had no choice. I always felt like I did something wrong to cause my low milk supply. I would feed him and he was still hungry so alas formula ot was. And now he is the most happiest, healthiest baby ever!!!! His on par with uis weight for his age and p track with all his milestones. Breastfeeding isn’t for everyone, if it’s not working out for whatever reason, your baby still has to eat. Formula nowadays isn’t poison, it’s adjusted to the nutritional needs of a baby. It was also a shock for me when I had to start giving formula, but it settled me when I found organic formulas like this one. They’re GMO free and contain no chemicals. We have to start to accept other mothers decisions without judgement. There’s already so much pressure on new moms, let’s support each other and let’s create a supportive environment where we feel save with our choices. How old was Aria when you started with the sleep training. Reply mascara & mimosas September 11, 2016 at 8:01 pm Hi Sulika 🙂 We did sleep training with Aria when she was 12 weeks old. After 3 nights of training, she slept from 6.30pm until 4am for a quick feed and then she slept until 7am (I often I had to wake her up). We had those terrible two weeks and so we had to train her again after that, it took about 3 nights. Now she sleeps from 6.30pm until 7am the next morning. Reply sulika September 14, 2016 at 5:55 pm Wow! Good job! I went to the clinic to get Ben his 10 week injections today.. One of my questions to the sister was weather Ben wakes up during the night because his actually hungry or Am I just used to feed him and he is all to keen for boob.. She also recommended to wait until 12 weeks, Ben needs to gaina bit more weight before he can skip feeds.. I can’t wait for him to sleep through! Reply mascara & mimosas September 17, 2016 at 3:36 pm It’s awesome when they start to sleep through but I do miss my itty bitty baby – she isn’t as much of a “cuddler” anymore, she just wants to explore! I think women feel ashamed to admit that they may be struggling with PND, I know that I definitely did. I was afraid that I would be seen as an unfit mother or not good enough. Both of which are completely untrue. PND is so common and it is so important for us to start talking more openly about it. The nurses usually ask Dad to get the outfits when they need them, and in that way Dad doesn’t need to scramble around looking for things and the matching pieces are all together! I’m constantly nagging my fiance to be more hands on with our daughter but he just doesn’t get it, he complains of being tired all the time and when he does have time on off days he prefers to sleep or visit his mom. I haven’t been out since my daughter is born, three months now, I’m a stay at home mom and feel I’m going crazy with doing everything myself, when I nag or complain he tells me I have no right because he’s going out to work to make money to support all of us, I have a 4 year old son aswell, and he is right but I wish he could just understand how tough it is to be a stay at home mom…. well done for your awesome husband. I hope you will get all the gorgeous goodies on your wishlist xx Reply Chereen May 5, 2017 at 9:45 am Turning 30 (and the year that followed) was a toughie for me – I’ve never been fazed by age, but turning 30 really threw me. I wasn’t expecting to feel as low as I did. That said, I had a lot of other personal issues going on at around the same time (you know about those!), so I think that impacted it as well. Turning 31, on the other hand, was AWESOME! Sometimes I think that the ‘big’ numbers (like 21, 30, 40, etc) are often so hyped up that they can’t possibly live up to the excitement – I feel that the less-hyped ages that follow or precede them are often so much better. Case in point? My 22nd and 26th years, which were both incredible, and 31, which is turning out pretty amazing too. Anyway. Sorry for waffling! I LOVE the new site, and I adore the photographs for this post. You are more beautiful than you realise – both inside and out. I thought when you get to 30 your life is sorted out: you know where you work, live, if you have children or not etc; when I got to the big 3-0 my husband was struggling for more than a year to get a job and it seemed as if I couldn’t have children. Fast forward few years my husband enjoys his “new” job and we have 2 beautiful kiddies. I believe everyone thinks that they haven’t achieved enough, with the few exceptions of people like Mark Zuckerburg! Reply Thembisile Tshabalala October 3, 2017 at 6:02 pm Being a second time mom has taught me a lot, I remember when I had my first baby I was so scared, confused and didn’t trust my motherly instincts. I listened to everything that everyone told me to do with my baby. But as baby grew I started becoming confident and trusted my instincts as a mother. I now choose who I listen to, what I listen to and I much rather listen to my motherly instinct which most of the time are right. My 1st baby has taught me a lot and I am grateful. With my 7week old daughter I am confident to say I am doing well in caring for her and if I’m not sure I contact my peadiatrician and ask question, lots of questions that is lol. #TrustMyWay Reply karen October 3, 2017 at 8:26 pm #TrustYourWay I always had family / friends giving me unwanted advice …making me feel like a horrid mum! Finally I realised no-one would know my child better than I, I now depend on my feelings/senses and haven’t gone wrong yet! And…ummm at the end be prepared for lots of internal checks for dilation. But by 40 weeks you don’t care who checks or if baby comes out of belly button Reply Lynn Botha October 4, 2017 at 8:55 am I totally believe that when you become a mom, you just get that natural maternal instinct, so trust in yourself 🙂 #TrustYourWay Reply Tiyana Van Der rheede October 5, 2017 at 9:56 am Becoming a mother makes you feel joyful, elated, empowered, and invincible. You’ve just pushed another human being out of your body, and you’re unprepared for all the things that come so quickly. While you’re in the hospital, you’ve got plenty of help, but when you go home, it’s all up to you. It’s an exciting time because of the newness of the experience, but it is also a time of great uncertainty. It’s the first time we realize that it’s possible to love someone so much. Becoming a mother expands the parameters of what love looks like to you by opening up a part of your heart that you didn’t know existed. This kind of love is entirely different than the love you have for your parents, spouse, etc. Becoming a mother allows you to be able to love from a different part of who you are. Being a new mom can come with feelings of inadequacy because there is a learning curve involved. It’s important to be realistic about the transition to motherhood because the more realistic you are about it, the easier it is to get through those difficult things. Suddenly you have experiences like having to stay awake all night to care for your baby, crying, colic, loss of prior freedoms, lack of help, and other adjustments. Your life is entirely different, and you’re learning how to adapt and figure out everything during a time when you are so tired that you can’t see straight. The important thing to realize is that you’re not alone. All mothers experience the same process, and you will get through it. You don’t have to be perfect, but you do have to understand that it’s OK to make mistakes in motherhood. All mothers make mistakes, and you will too. Just don’t be judgmental with yourself. #TrustYourWay. Reply Natasha Petersen October 5, 2017 at 9:58 am Our precious princess wouldn’t not keep her milk down, she would throw up after each feed, sleeplessness days and nights , lots of tears and feeling helpless, mum lived far off , hubby was gone away for work purposes, and being alone with her was not easy, all I could do was feed her glucose water , after a few difficult days I decided to change her formula…and it worked. It relieves all the stress and leaves me with a good nights sleep 😀 Reply Anisha Singh October 5, 2017 at 2:57 pm Those pictures of skinny women with flawless skin always got to me. In my quest for perfection I knew that it was impossible to achieve especially if you add a husband, young children, a career and pets to the mix. A chocolate encrusted donut sounds more enticing that sweating it off at the gym. Which by the way is monotonous and simply requires dedication. I realized that if you incorporate exercise into your daily life, it will be more fun and you will reap the rewards. So out goes the donut loyalty card, out comes the smoothie machine and leashes for my Siberian huskies. A few months ago my skin was blotchy and I had a muffin top. I felt lethargic & depressed. I knew I had to get my groove back. So I incorporated my daily vigorous walk in my routine. And guess what! Not only are my dogs super happy but I am feeling comfortable in my skin. So yes, the million dollar question… how does exercise make me feel? It makes me feel AMAZING and ready to take on the world. It’s like a natural high and the feeling of simply loving the body that you are in is indescrible! Thank you so much for the “real” article above. I am not flat chested too and I got some serious sports bra tips from you… you and I have certainly got something in common… we persevere no matter what! Reply Soraya October 5, 2017 at 2:58 pm Exercise makes me feel so good and healthy and definitely adds a spring to my step. I simply love the fresh out of gym feeling. Just wish I had more time to get my body in shape. Reply Annette Hamann October 5, 2017 at 2:58 pm To be honest I did try the gym and it just wasn’t for me. I then discovered that I love running outdoors. I joined a running club and never looked back. I lost 14kg in three months. I do however have a huge problem with backfat to the point where I’m now getting really depressed because I can’t wear vests. I just don’t feel comfortable. I will now be forced to exercise as liposuction is too expensive. As a full time mom my children always came first and until recently I was at home with my daughter. (she just started school). I put alot of weight on while on the pill and just didnt exercise so i went up 10 kgs in a space of a few months. I joined a gym and have started working on my body. I find it hard as you work so hard but it takes a while to show. After a month of gym every morning i noticed that my tummy was flatter and i wasnt as hungry as i used to be.my body has slowly started changing and seeing that change even if it isnt massive changes pushes me on. My shirts fit better and slowly my pants are getting looser. I love making friends at gym. We laugh, moan and groan but we do it to make ourselves a better version of what we are. Its about getting fitter and healthier as apposed to being skinny and unhealthy Reply Simone October 5, 2017 at 3:07 pm I love how strong I feel after doing a workout. Also the more you exercise the more energy you have Reply Tyla Gunning October 5, 2017 at 3:36 pm I used to be happy with my body for most of school and since the start of my first year at varsity, everything just went downhill when it came to fitness & exercise 🙁 I’m now in my final year and everyday I always tell myself “I’ll start tomorrow” or “I’ll start on Monday” but I just NEVER shave gotten around to it. But today I made a change, I am so unhappy with my body, I feel so uncomfortable in everything and I’m tired of feeling this way – so today I signed up for the gym, something that may not seem like a lot but considering I myself am paying for it and not my mom or dad, I will not waste a single cent and make sure I get the most out of my money and visit the gym as regularly as I can! I just want to feel healthy and active like I used to and get out of this slump of laziness and bad eating habits and hopefully gym can be the start of that to get my mind in the right place! I love your blog and your articles and this one especially as it REALLY motivated me and made me feel so happy about having joined the gym and wanting to feel good in my own skin! You are looking stunning and keep up the brilliant work! My next step is to purchase some fitness clothes cause like you said, you don’t want to be at gym and worrying more about fixing your clothes than focusing on the workout ! This voucher would be so great as it would be the start of my fitness clothing collection, as hopefully as time goes I will continue purchasing some stunning items that I can sweat my butt off in! Reply Megan Buhrmann October 5, 2017 at 5:16 pm I am that person who doesn’t like the idea of exercise, and, depending on what I’m doing, I don’t always enjoy myself during exercise (running is HARD, but ballet is WONDERFUL… and also HARD), but afterwards I feel light (could be the lack of oxygen 😉 ), I’ve had my mind completely taken off of the rest of my life for a bit, and it helps manage my anxiety very well. So the anxiety management is probably my favourite part about exercise at this stage. Especially when it comes to running. Maybe when it gets easier (will it ever?) it’ll be about seeing me reach my goals :-). Reply Shantel Moodley October 5, 2017 at 6:21 pm To be honest , I havent exercised since March this year . Hmmm, I’d love to try this and enter to win 🙂 so here i go. Thanks for having so many options to view your review! Reply admin October 30, 2017 at 9:08 pm Hi Megan Great question – thanks! Because I am so fair, my skin goes red after most products, but not because of a reaction, burning or any sort of discomfort. I found the products really great, especially considering their price point. Bear in mind though that they are made for a more oily/combination skin type so if you are more dehydrated, I would only use one or two products if you were really keen to try the range. Hope this helps! Reply Mariska Goussard October 27, 2017 at 12:23 pm Swooooon over that hotel room! This sounds like an amazing experience and definitely a spot to put on the must-visit list! I have extremely oily skin and have been struggling to find a moisturiser that controls oils without drying out my skin cause that always sends it on oil production overdrive.
