I’m pretty confident that we can all agree that this is one cute outfit! We received this sweet little ensemble a few weeks ago and I’m so glad that life has finally decided to calm down somewhat so that I can eventually get around to telling you all about not only these sweet garments, but about By Roeline, the brand as well.
By Roeline is a local, boutique brand that creates some really gorgeous garments, including their fancy bibs which are what really put them on the map in terms of quality kids clothing made locally. By Roeline has now expanded into making outfits like the one I’m showing you today as well as accessories including some awesome Afrikaans ones!
I think that it’s really amazing that everything is done in-house, from the embroidery to the sewing, Roeline and Happiness hand make each of the beautiful pieces that you see on their online store. There’s even talk of them opening up a fabric factory in the not so distant future!
The little get up that Aria is wearing is the Bella Linen string top in milk and the Kai Linen high waist bloomers in olive. Both of these garments are made from high quality, soft linen that is completely breathable which is great if your summers get as hot as ours do! The drawstring on the shirt concerned me at first, I was pretty confident that Aria would be able to undo it with ease but when I tie it, I pull the bow really tight and then it stays in tact. The drawsting itself seems like it is really good quality and won’t fray with regular washes and wear.
One of my favourite things about this clothing duo is how easily they mix and match with other items in Aria’s closet, as a consumer, it would make me feel like I got more bang for my buck. Here are some ideas on how you could style these two garments from By Roeline.
As the original set
Bella top paired with (very creased) denim shorts
Bella top paired with regular rise bloomers
Kai bloomers paired with a white onesie
Kai bloomers paired with tights
So, what do you think of these looks? Is it something that your little one would wear?
PS: does anyone else just not iron their kids clothing or am I just being ridiculously lazy?
