Ah January, back to healthy eating and sweating it out in the gym, amirite? I’m planning a “what I wear to work out” post for sometime soon-ish but for today, I wanted to chat about three products for your gym routine; two from Mama Mio and one from Mio (okay, they’re basically the same brand, but also not). I have tried and tested all three of these products and they really have become favourites, always sitting in front and centre in my bathroom. So, without further ado, let’s get started!
Cleanse – Mama Mio Gorgeous Glow Face Wash: If you take one thing from this article, I hope that it’s this – wash your face as soon as you are done with your workout! All that sweat can wreck chaos on your skin, its warm and moist, bacteria’s favourite conditions to breed. I’ve already gone through one whole bottle of the Gorgeous Glow Face Wash and I’m onto my second, I love that it foams up but doesn’t leaving my skin feeling parched. The product is a blend of five natural coconut cleansers which gently remove all the impurities from your skin, leaving it clean but never tight. My favourite addition to the cleanser (at the moment) is the Tea Tree Oil, it really helps to balance my skin, especially now that it’s become so much more oily than I am used to. This cleanser is the perfect product to throw in your gym bag so that you can cleanse your skin as soon as you’ve put down those dumb bells. Here is another review I did on the Gorgeous Glow Face Wash.
Recuperate – Mama Mio Lucky Legs Cooling Gel: Flip, the day after leg day is the worst, everything is so sore! On these days, Lucky Legs Cooling Gel is a lifesaver. Although it doesn’t take the muscle ache away completely, it definitely does help! The super star ingredient is Mentol, it helps to relive muscle discomfort and it also leaves your legs feeling super refreshed and invigorated (thanks to Ginger extract). To give ease your aching muscles even more, there is the added ingredient addition of Chamomile extract. Also good to know, although all Mama Mio and Mio products are cruelty free, Lucky Legs is also Vegan.
Tone – Mio Get Waisted: One of my main problem areas is my stomach, I have always battled to drop the weight and tone my midsection and so if there is a product that can help it look even slightly better, I’m all in! Get Waisted has been specially developed for the stomach to help improve the elasticity, increase firmness and tighten it all up at the same time. It’s definitely not going to remove pockets of fat, but it is going to make the skin around your abdomen look smoother, tighter and all round fab. Oat Protein Complex is the key ingredient in Get Waisted and is the biggie when it comes to firming and smoothing the skin. Like Lucky Legs, Get Waisted is also Vegan. Here is another review I did on Get Waisted.
You know what they say, every little bit helps, and these three products really do make a big difference for me! Have you tried/been wanting to try any of them?
Mio and Mama Mio products are available on the Poise Brands website, as well as selected salons and spas.
I would really want to try the Mio Get Wasted! My tummy is also a problem area I have been trying to focus on.

Fully agree with you that one needs to wash one’s face ASAP after a workout. The Gorgeous Glow Face Wash sounds simply amazing! I prefer foaming washes (otherwise my skin doesn’t feel ‘clean’) but always worry that it will dry and strip the skin. So this sounds absolutely incredible.
